Creating inclusive, supportive, positive spaces for 2SLGBTQ+ staff, faculty, and students on campus requires intentional work. In this session, participants will increase their awareness about the lives and experiences of 2SLGBTQ+ persons.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Define common terms related to assigned sex, gender and sexual orientation
Explain different forms of discrimination, including homophobia, heteronormativity, transphobia, cisnormativity, and bi-erasure
Identify relevant resources and policies on campus addressing discrimination
Discuss tangible ways to create a more positive campus community
