Sexual violence is a community issue—we all have a role to play in preventing and responding to it effectively. This training will familiarize participants important terms and frameworks, cover key points of McMaster’s Sexual Violence Policy, and introduce campus and community resources.
This session is for clinical placement supervisors for students in the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech-Language Pathology programs.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Understand the gendered, systemic, and intersectional realities of sexual violence
Distinguish between sexual violence myths and realities
Distinguish between disclosing and reporting
Identify relevant resources available on campus and in the community
