Yash Joshi (he/him)
Hons. Integrated Science (Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour Concentration) II
My name is Yash and I live in Brampton, right on the border with Toronto and Vaughan. I am a big sports fan as I grew up playing soccer and I love watching basketball, baseball, and football. In my free time I love to go for hikes and explore new places such as restaurants and cafes. I am very interested in mental health topics, addictions, and behaviour in general and hope to pursue a career in these areas someday.
Favourite self-care activity: Watching old sitcoms like Seinfeld, Friends, or How I Met Your Mother to get a few laughs.

Olivia Lee (she/her)
Hons. BSc Kinesiology IV
I joined this team to help start conversations that are so very needed in today’s society. I want to help build a culture of consent and help nurture a community of prevention and awareness for sexual violence.
Favourite self-care activity: being active! If you’re looking for me, I’m probably at the gym!

David McHugh (he/him)
Master of Business Administration (MBA) II
I am passionate about sexual and gender-based violence prevention and awareness. As a member of the Men’s Allyship Circle, I look forward to engaging with my peers and colleagues to prioritize education and have open conversations about the societal, systemic and social constructs that underpin the culture of sexual violence and misogyny in Canada and around the world. I hope to leverage my background in public health and health equity to encourage conversation and promote positive change in the McMaster student community and community more broadly.
Favourite self-care activity: long hikes and quality time with friends and family

Anne Peiris (she/her)
BSc Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour II
Gender-based violence is an issue that I care deeply about, and I also feel that peer support and education is a great way to build community and foster open, safe communication. I’m really excited about brining these together and to further connecting with our amazing school community.
Favourite self-care activity: listening to music and baking

Madeline Ray (she/her)
BA Justice, Political Philosophy and Law III
I was motivated to join this team and be involved in sexual violence prevention work because I want to contribute to making positive social change on campus. I think that there can often be a lack of awareness and understanding on what sexual violence is and how we can all act to prevent it, so I am excited to be working with a group of individuals equally as passionate as I am about helping to educate and support the McMaster community.
Favourite self-care activity: journaling about my day or to explore how I am feeling in a given moment

Ciara Ritchie (she/her)
BSc Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour III
I was motivated to join this team to help facilitate awareness and discussion of sexual violence in our community, along with building a safe space for survivors. Sexual violence is a topic that can be hard to approach, and I’m passionate about both learning and helping others build the right toolkits to address such issues. By educating and listening to peers, I hope to help create a culture of consent on campus that everyone can feel a part of, and am excited to be working with this great team!
Favourite self-care activity: Doing fun and (sometimes bloody) makeup!

Florencia Saposnik (she/her)
BA Health and Society IV
I joined this team because I wanted to make a positive impact within the McMaster community. I think it’s really important to deconstruct the myths that some people believe about sexual assault in order to create a safe(r) environment on campus. I’m really excited to be a part of this team with like-minded people and can’t wait to see what this year has in store!
Favourite self-care activity: Taking time out of my day to read and/or exercise

Vivien Trinh (she/her)

The need for sexual violence education and advocacy in the university population has felt increasingly prevalent especially with the widespread use of technology. Having been introduced to SVPRO through my past commitments, I am eager to broaden knowledge on sexual violence prevention and share these with the McMaster community.
Favourite self-care activity: Swimming, painting, trying new foods

Benjamin Sclodnick (he/him)
PhD Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour IV

Favourite self-care activity: going for a ride on my motorcycle
