The Equity and Inclusion Office (EIO) and Black Student Success Centre (BSSC) invites Black-identifying women and non-binary students at McMaster to special Lunch & Learn this month.
Join us for a healing and community building discussion with Joëlle Kabisoso (Founder and Executive Director), Kanishia Mensah (Program Manager), and Chantal Gray (Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist) from Sisters in Sync, a Black focused organization based in Hamilton, dedicated to building pathways to empowerment for Black women and non-binary individuals, assisting and advocating for victims of sexual violence and assault, and supporting the healing and community building of the Black community.
This discussion will be specific to cultural identity and aspects of university culture, sexual assault and navigation, and self-preservation as a Black female and non-binary individuals with a specific focus on resiliency, resetting, self-care, and recreation! Art making activities will be provided throughout as well as a catered lunch!
